General
These Terms and Conditions govern the administration of warranty services provided by AZ Warranty Sdn. Bhd. (“AZ Warranty”).
The information provided on this website is intended for general reference only. Coverage eligibility, claim approval, repair arrangements, and warranty benefits are subject to the specific terms and conditions stated in the issued Warranty Policy.
In the event of any inconsistency between the website content and the issued Warranty Policy document, the terms and conditions stated in the official Warranty Policy shall prevail.
AZ Warranty reserves the right to amend, update, or revise product features, coverage scope, and administrative procedures from time to time. Such amendments shall not affect active warranty policies already issued and activated unless required by law or regulatory obligations.
Warranty Coverage
Warranty coverage applies only to components specifically listed under the selected warranty plan.
The warranty covers mechanical or electrical failures arising from normal usage during the valid warranty period. Any components not expressly listed as covered items shall be deemed excluded.
Claim Notification & Prior Approval
The vehicle owner must notify AZ Warranty immediately upon discovery of any mechanical or electrical fault.
Repairs, dismantling, or replacement work must not commence without prior authorization from AZ Warranty. Any unauthorized repair work carried out prior to claim authorization may result in rejection or limitation of claim eligibility.
AZ Warranty reserves the right to inspect the vehicle or request further diagnostic assessment before approving any claim.
Diagnostic, Inspection & Dismantling Charges
The vehicle owner shall be responsible for all diagnostic, inspection, testing, or dismantling charges imposed by the workshop to determine the cause of failure.
Such charges are not covered under the warranty plan, regardless of whether the claim is subsequently approved.
Repair Authorization & Parts Replacement
AZ Warranty reserves the right, at its discretion, to determine the appropriate repair method for any approved claim, including repairing, reconditioning, or replacing damaged components using suitable used, reconditioned, OEM, or equivalent parts depending on availability and technical suitability.
No repair work shall proceed until claim assessment has been completed and authorization has been issued by AZ Warranty.
Betterment Contribution (“New for Old”)
Where the vehicle owner requests replacement of a damaged component with a brand-new or franchise part instead of an approved used, reconditioned, or equivalent component, the vehicle owner shall bear the cost difference between the approved claim amount and the price of the requested new component.
Such contribution applies where replacement results in improvement of the vehicle’s condition beyond its state immediately prior to failure.
Payment Arrangement
Payment arrangements for approved claims may vary depending on the repair arrangement and applicable warranty plan.
Payment arrangements shall be determined based on operational requirements and claim assessment procedures applicable at the time of repair authorization.
AZ Warranty may settle approved repair costs directly with participating workshops where applicable. In certain circumstances, the vehicle owner may be required to make payment upfront, subject to reimbursement in accordance with policy terms.
Any diagnostic charges, non-covered items, or additional repair costs shall remain the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
Service & Maintenance Requirement
The vehicle owner must ensure that the vehicle is serviced and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule or the service requirements stated in the issued Warranty Policy.
Valid service and maintenance records, including invoices and receipts, must be retained and produced upon request during claim assessment.
Failure to comply with required maintenance schedules or inability to provide valid servicing records may affect warranty coverage or claim eligibility.
Prevention of Further Damage
Upon discovery of any mechanical or electrical fault, the vehicle owner must take reasonable steps to prevent further damage to the vehicle.
Continued operation of the vehicle after a fault becomes apparent may affect claim eligibility where additional damage results from such continued use.
Exclusions
The warranty does not cover, but is not limited to:
• Normal wear and tear or maintenance items;
• Damage resulting from accidents, collisions, or external impact;
• Floods, natural disasters, or environmental causes;
• Misuse, negligence, racing, or improper operation;
• Unauthorized modifications or alterations;
• Damage caused by fire, war, nuclear risks, or other extraordinary external events;
• Pre-existing faults prior to warranty activation.
Full exclusions are detailed in the issued Warranty Policy.
Claim Communication
For efficient claim handling, AZ Warranty may coordinate claim assessment, repair authorization, and repair progress updates through digital communication channels, including group communication involving the vehicle owner and workshop where applicable.
Suspension or Termination of Claim Eligibility
Warranty claim eligibility may be affected or terminated where:
• Required servicing or maintenance is not performed;
• False or misleading information is provided;
• Unauthorized repairs are carried out;
• Vehicle usage falls outside normal operating conditions.
Transferability
Warranty plans are non-transferable unless otherwise approved in writing by AZ Warranty in accordance with applicable policy terms.
Cancellation
Once activated, warranty plans are generally non-refundable and non-transferable upon activation, subject to administrative conditions stated in the issued Warranty Policy.
Limitation of Liability
AZ Warranty’s liability shall be limited to the approved repair amount under the warranty plan and shall not extend to consequential losses, loss of use, downtime, transportation costs, or indirect damages.
Governing Terms
All warranty services are governed by the issued Warranty Policy document. In the event of dispute or interpretation differences, the Warranty Policy shall prevail.
Repair Works
Vehicle owners are required to carry out necessary repairs recommended by the workshop to maintain the safe and proper operating condition of the vehicle, even where such repairs fall outside warranty coverage.
Failure to rectify identified defects or recommended repairs may result in further damage to covered components. In such circumstances, AZ Warranty reserves the right to decline warranty claims arising from or aggravated by the failure to perform the recommended repairs.
Declaration of Vehicle Condition (Hidden Defects)
The vehicle owner declares that, to the best of their knowledge, the vehicle condition at the time of warranty application has been accurately disclosed to AZ Warranty.
Any pre-existing faults, hidden defects, or prior damages known but not declared at the time of application may result in rejection of warranty coverage or claim eligibility under the warranty plan.
Claim Assessment Timeframe
Claim assessment and approval timelines may vary depending on the nature of the reported fault, completeness of submitted documentation, diagnostic findings, workshop response time, and technical evaluation requirements.
AZ Warranty shall make reasonable efforts to assess claims within standard operational timeframes upon receipt of all required information and supporting documents. Delays arising from incomplete documentation, additional inspection requirements, parts availability, or third-party involvement shall not constitute denial of coverage or breach of warranty obligations.
Claim decisions shall be made based on technical assessment, policy coverage, and supporting documentation submitted during the claim evaluation process.
